Curriculum Overview

Module 1 – IT Foundations & Professional Skills

This module introduces basic IT concepts, workplace professionalism, documentation, and communication skills required in technical roles. Students learn how IT support environments operate and how to work responsibly in production systems.

Module 2 – Networking Fundamentals

Students learn how computer networks function, including LANs, WANs, and the Internet. Topics include the OSI and TCP/IP models, networking devices such as switches and routers, and how data moves across networks.

Module 3 – IP Addressing and Network Configuration

This module focuses on IP addressing and subnetting. Learners practice assigning IP addresses, configuring network interfaces, setting up small office networks, and ensuring devices communicate correctly.

Module 4 – Wireless Networking and Network Security

Students install and configure wireless networks, including routers and access points. The module covers Wi-Fi standards, encryption methods (WPA2/WPA3), and securing networks against unauthorized access.

Module 5 – System Administration (Windows & Linux)

This module introduces system administration concepts. Students install and manage Windows and Linux operating systems, create user accounts, manage permissions, configure system services, and perform basic server administration tasks.

Module 6 – Backup, Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Students learn how to maintain systems, perform data backups, monitor system health, and troubleshoot common network and system issues. The course ends with a practical project simulating a real IT support environment.
